Free for All

Well, the concert's not free this time, but if you've never experienced the joys of the aural chaos of "Budbudas" you're in for a treat.

My old pal Berci is a cellist who is involved in every kind of musical endeavor under the sun. One really fun esoteric jam session here in Budapest is known as Budbudas - it's a gathering of guitarists, horn players, DJs, rappers, performance artists, etc. including Berci on the cello.

I've seen them at the French institute a couple of times where the show is free so you can almost never find a seat. These guys have a hell of a lot of fun. There's usually some kind of tripped out visual projection going on behind them. The crowd is friendly and Bohemian.

Check 'em out at the Mu Szinhaz this Sunday night and tell Berci that Drew bácsi sent you.
