Candid Camera

Andreea Anca Strauss was born in Bucharest and has lived in Budapest on and off for 17 years. When I first met her over a decade ago she wasn't even a photographer, but she says she has always liked the idea of being one.

Her love affair with photography started in 1996 when she took her first photographs in Bosnia, where she was surrounded by great photographers and journalists. She took shots, asked lots of questions and figured out that she was in fact a great photographer. Since then she has traveled extensively throughout Central Europe and the Balkans taking photographs, not to mention spending two years in Russia.
