In Hungarian, the literal translation of goosebumps is "goose skin". Hungary's international singing sensation Bea Palya makes me go all goosey and she'll likely give you the bumps, too.
Lovely Bea sings from the heart and mixes traditional Hungarian folk sounds with Balkan, Middle Eastern and gypsy influences.
She talked to Budacast for almost an hour in our latest episode, which was supposed to have been live, but encountered technical difficulties. SORRY, Budacasters!
Our special guest co-host was Zoltán Radnai from the cool cultural blog called Kultplay.

It was a great pleasure to listen to a well known singer who was so honest, genuine. I did get the 'goose skin' when listening to 'Harom arva' and the other 'hallgatos' songs. In addition to her beautiful and versatile voice she is a singer/person with lots of character; her music is very alive indeed, traditional in an unconventional way. I loved the bit about hidden emotions and breaking the barriers - this is what so many of us are longing to experience and Bea Palya seems to have the ability to melt these barriers or walls with her voice (coming from her belly as she would put it) and with her personality. So thank you Drew bacsi and co-host for the powerful programme and thank you Bea for having the power to make others feel more harmonious, warm within and with others.
