Almost Milan

Follow me and I will introduce you to the magic experience of CaféNegro tonight!

First: it is located in one of the most beautiful squares in town. If you look out of the window you can see the Basilica of Pest and the wide open square with the surrounding buildings.

Second: if you look inside this trendy champagne club you will find a cool interior. Dark wood floor, black wallpaper, black furniture and curved iron walls. Everything looks very stylish and trendy, so much so that it reminds me of Milan! and that's a good benchmark, no?
The place may look a little bit dark from the outside. Well, it is dark enough to make your eyes feel relaxed and light enough to enjoy the cat walking of local blondies! ;-)

Café Negro is definitely a cool spot in town. They dj mixes a good selection of lounge music during dinner time. Then the rhythm increases when, around midnight, you can start dancing.

The crowd is a good mix, too. Usually made up of young people and some tourists. Everybody seems to be out of a fashion magazine or from a Dolce & Gabbana shop window wearing the last trendy jacket or boots.

You may say that this spot is too posh, maybe even snobbish for some people. And you may be right but overall it is a group of genuinely nice people willing to enjoy themselves, drink some good cocktails and swing to some good music vibes. What's wrong with that?

The staff is mostly friendly and can speak English well, practically a rarity for Budapest. Don't expect the service to be fast as well - we are still in the Hungarian capital.

Every night is the right night for Café Negro. It gets started around midnight when it would be very difficult to find a table or a spot at the bar. You will be surprised by how many people are willing to have fun and wake up the next day with a few hours of sleep!

And if you are not able to choose from the extensive drink list I would suggest having a look at the last pages where they are in alphabetical order or to go safe and ask for an Amaretto Sour. Amaretto di Saronno, lime juice. All shaken up and served in a tall glass. Believe me, it is the best in town! Their Mojito is fairly good too and gin tonic is an absolute must to end the night.
The average cocktail price is around 1,200 Ft. Maybe not the cheapest, but you're also paying for style.

If cocktails are not what you are looking for, then you would definitely appreciate the variety of eye candy chatting at the bar. They make for a sweet night.

NEGRO is in Szent István tér number 11 and it is open till 2 am on weekdays and 3 am at the week-end.

Will we meet at Negro tonight?
