Top5 Nostalgia videos

1. Beautypest
Csudapest: Forget Paris, put your hands together for the wonderful Budapest, or Beautypest: The characters of this 1962 film celebrate their love of the city by singing and dancing all over it: Wonderful buildings and parks, clean and sparkling streets, and smiles all around... It works, I'm proud!

2.Shop 'til You Drop
In the "State Department Store" (Állami Áruhaz, 1952), the young couple take a stroll on
Gellért hill, overlooking the city. A known romantic spot to those who live here... but perhaps the singing is not so common, neither is the sight of Kossuth bridge in the background, which was torn down in 1960.

3. Music Mullets
A music video for the band Első emelet (First floor), a discman in the 80s, woah! Stylish mullets and rolled up sleeves in the touristy areas of Budapest... check out the paper car Trabant!

4. Monday in the Metro
Not a lot of Budapest in this one, but some foggy morning shots, lot's of getting on and off the underground, running up and down stairs and a love story. Megint hétfő (It's Monday again), performed by Jazz+Az, a good band at the time, 1999, not so long ago, but I'm nostalgic already.

5. Welcome to the Westerners
Retro: the streets of Budapest in the early sixties. After the 1956 Revolution, the commentary says, the city comes alive again, and tourists arrive, many from Western Europe (gasp!). For two weeks before Christmas you can even buy oranges!

Please advise where I could find MP3 stuff - to pass the time in the car listening to Hungarian texts and music, or stories about Hungary

    Kind regards,

    Boaz
