Aye aye, Captain
Trends Taste & Travel with Captain Cy
This is a great podcast which relies upon the enthusiasm and professional delivery of its host, 'Captain Cy'. Cy has kind of a commercial radio delivery, but he is so upbeat that he really captures and keeps your attention, even if you're not particularly interested in one of the numerous topics in a single show.
Wide World
News & Chit Chat
As a radio guy, I listen to a lot of shows in English. It's a lot easier now that almost any kind of show one can imagine is available via streaming or podcast. But what do I listen to when I want to go local? Well, here's my roundup of radio shows in Hungarian, some of which are available (and down-loadable) online if not as podcasts.
Uncommonly good
TravelCommons podcast
It's more about the journey than the destination
So many podcasts are just people yacking, sometimes about nothing. But a few podcasts out there, like the TravelCommons podcast, really have something to say.
Taking Root
Considering many everyday people have been podcasting in the US for nearly 3 years, one wonders if the medium will ever take off in Hungary. A Hungarian language podcast,
Podmedia Radio, is a good start.
Krazy Ken (and Andy)
You want tech podcast, you got it. Direct from California (and from around the world),
KenRadio not only gives you the latest "MET" news (i.e. media, entertainment and technology), but also does it in a hyperkinetic and entertaining way.
Battle of the Foodcasts
Eat Feed podcast
Food Philosophy podcast
What a great medium podcasting is for people who love food and hearing about culinary traditions and the latest trends in the kitchen. I've happened upon a couple of different "foodcasts" that are both entertaining and hosted by women.

All Songs Considered: a Misnomer, but still a great podcast
When Bob Boilen begins his Podcast, 'Welcome to All Songs Considered. Tonight...' You just never know what will come next. But there is a guarantee that you will be introduced to some interesting, new music... and perhaps even your new favorite Band.

Rapport and the Real Answer
iPod Traveller
As a show about Europe, iPod Traveller has a pretty expansive scope: the range of topics is seemingly endless, so if you're not interested in one show you may be in the next.
Old Radio Regime
Now it's possible to listen to podcast selections from a wonderful radio program that I used to listen to while blowing past the cornfields on a rural Illinois road late at night. Listening to
Extension 720 is like going back to college.
Podcasting 101
Podcasts about podcasting are probably not for everyone, but for those interested in the medium and learning about the seemingly endless number of variables involved in terms of technology, style, marketing etc., there's a lot out there in the "podosphere" to listen to.
Mixed Tape Magic
The Cloneshit podcast may not be "pod safe" but they sure serve up one hell of a mixed tape.
